To celebrate the release of the large-format photo book "KABUKI by KISHIN" (¥46,000), a talk event and autograph session featuring Kishin Shinoyama and Shigeo Goto will be held at the BOOK EVENT SPACE in Tsutaya Books inside GINZA SIX from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on July 7th.
The event, the first in the Tsutaya Books' independently published TSUTAYA BIG BOOK project, celebrates the release of a collection of Kishin Shinoyama's best kabuki photos over the course of more than 40 years. Shinoyama will share his unique insights into the fascinating world of kabuki, including his reasons for continuing to photograph it, the circumstances that led to his invitation, stories about his encounters with renowned actors like Tamasaburo Bando and Kanzaburo Nakamura, and behind-the-scenes stories.
To participate in the event, you must have either pre-ordered the photo book, which will be released on July 7th, or purchased an event ticket (¥1,500 including tax). Applications can be made in-store, by phone, or through the online store (until 9:00 on July 5th).
