From July 4th to 17th, 8/COURT and CUBE1, 2, and 3 on the 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie will be hosting the "Oku-Noto Triennale 2017: Art Festival at the Edge, Cutting-Edge Art - Pre-Opening Exhibition."

Suzu City, located at the tip of the Noto Peninsula, has long been a place where exchanges between land and sea have flourished and a unique culture has been nurtured. Known as the birthplace of Japanese culture, this town still retains its traditional lifestyles and customs. From September 3rd to October 22nd, the "Oku-Noto Triennale 2017" will be held, an art festival where traditional culture and cutting-edge art resonate with each other through the creations of 39 artists from 11 countries and regions. This pre-event exhibition will feature a "Special Exhibition of Art Plans" by 39 performing artists, a "Walk, See, Listen" photo exhibition by participating artist Naoki Ishikawa, a "Travel Salon" by staff with intimate local knowledge, and a "Art Gallery" featuring 100 works that capture the charm of Suzu City, selected from works submitted to a contest held prior to the art festival.

In addition, special talks will be held on July 4th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, including "The Edge is the Cutting Edge" (with an "Oku-Noto Triennale Supporter Information Session" from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM), on the 5th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and "Preparing for the Farthest Cabaret" from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on the 7th.
