From July 13th to October 9th, the Kobe Fashion Museum will be hosting a special exhibition by photographer Imamori Mitsuhiko, "The World of Paper-Cutting Living with Nature - Life Born in a Satoyama Atelier."
Imamori has been familiar with nature since he was a child as a "living boy," and he currently maintains rice fields and scrub forests in his Satoyama atelier. The exhibition will feature over 250 pieces, including the latest carefully selected paper-cut works and photographs created in the atelier, while allowing visitors to experience the changing seasons and experience life and fashion that are closely connected to the richness of nature. The works, which are increasingly beautiful, delicate, gentle, and powerful, provide an opportunity to experience the fundamental joy and peace of being close to nature.
In addition, there will be gallery talks by the museum's curators on July 17th and August 11th, and "Backstage Tours (Exploring the Museum Edition)" on July 30th, August 27th, and September 30th (application required). There will also be a "Talk & Autograph Session" by Imamori on September 2nd, and a "Workshop & Autograph Session" (application required) from 10am on October 7th for those who purchase the exhibition book, with numbered tickets being distributed to the first 100 people.
