Genichiro Inokuma's exhibition "Inokuma-san" will be held at the Urawa Museum of Art

Jul 8, 2017

The Urawa Museum of Art in Urawa Ward, Saitama City, will host an exhibition of artist Genichiro Inokuma's work, "Inokuma-san," from July 8 to August 27. The exhibition focuses on the picture book "Inokuma-san," created to introduce Inokuma Genichiro and his work to children. The exhibition is divided into nine sections based on themes such as "Faces," "Birds," "Cats," "Colors," and "Shapes," and features approximately 150 tableaux, drawings, three-dimensional works, and videos. It's an opportunity to experience the joy and fun of imagination, as if stepping into a picture book. From July 15 to August 27, a "creative corner" will be set up where visitors can freely craft and draw. Additionally, reading sessions led by librarians and volunteers will be held every Tuesday and Friday starting July 21. On July 22 and August 20, curators will hold "gallery talks" to explain the exhibition and artworks.
