PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO 92, held over four days from June 13th to 16th, was held during the usual tourist season, when events like the Opera Festival are held, turning the city of Florence into a festival. This year, more than 30,000 visitors, including men's fashion buyers and press from around the world, came to the event.
Florence experienced scorching temperatures exceeding 32°C every day during the event, but as befits the world's largest men's fashion festival, visitors remained enthusiastic about this comprehensive exhibition, sporting the latest fashions. Their looks were clearly distinct from those of the tourists flooding Florence in T-shirts, backpacks, and shorts.
African fashionistas have been particularly popular in recent seasons. The rule-based fashion of Congolese Sapeurs, who originated in the former Zaire, as well as Senegalese and Nigerian fashion, certainly livens up the venue, in contrast to the Milanistas who are moving towards American and athleisure items and styles.
Here are some snaps from the venue at Pitti Uomo 92. Vol. 01 starts with these people and the Pitti style that stylishly wears hats.
