On this trip, I flew business class with Hong Kong Airlines, a Hong Kong-based airline that connects eight cities in Japan and over 30 cities in the Asia-Pacific region. Relaxing in a fully flat seat and savoring carefully prepared in-flight meals and drinks made for a truly comfortable flight.

Another must-see spot is Club Bauhinia, the VIP lounge on Hong Kong International Airlines, which reopens at the end of August. It offers Wi-Fi for business travelers, private meeting rooms, a relaxation area with beds, and a buffet zone where you can sample local Hong Kong cuisine.

In addition to sweets like "Ji Dan Zai," the cute, lumpy Hong Kong version of baby castella cake, "Tofu Flower," a healthy tofu dessert, and Hong Kong-style milk tea made with strong black tea and evaporated milk, the menu also offers dim sum dishes like shumai and shrimp dumplings, as well as savory dishes like "Wonton Noodles" made to order and "Chee Jai Noodles" topped with fish balls and vegetables. You can fully enjoy the flavors of Hong Kong until the very end of your trip! However, be careful, as if you get too full here, you won't be able to eat the in-flight meal.

Hong Kong Airlines' business class also offers a selection of in-flight meals that are uniquely Hong Kong. This special collaboration menu with Hong Kong's long-established Michelin-starred restaurant, "Sea King Heen," features a cold shrimp and avocado salad as an appetizer, a choice of three main dishes, "chicken meatballs with hawthorn sauce, steamed vegetables and rice," and a purple sweet potato and lychee pudding for dessert. Guests can choose from alcoholic beverages such as wine or beer, or Hong Kong Airlines' original non-alcoholic cocktail, "Bauhinia Blossom," or Hong Kong-style milk tea. We enjoyed a relaxing time immersed in the afterglow of our journey.
