The Reborn-Art Festival 2017, a festival event featuring art, music, and food, will be held in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, from July 22 to September 10. Located in downtown Ishinomaki and on the Oshima Peninsula, the festival will feature exhibitions of works by contemporary artists from Japan and abroad, music events, and cuisine featuring local ingredients from renowned festivals in Tohoku and around Japan. The event aims not only to revitalize Tohoku, but also to help participants "rebirth." Additionally, the music event "Reborn-Art Festival 2017 x ap bank fes" will be held from July 28 to 30 at the Wind Plain in the northern area of Michinoku Mori-no-Umi National Park in Miyagi Prefecture. Along with a lineup of other renowned artists, performances by Takeshi Kobayashi and the house band "Bank Band," led by Kazutoshi Sakurai of Mr.Children, have also been announced.
