■The post-earthquake trend is basic, long-lasting items.
Even when visiting exhibitions, it's clear that cutting-edge, avant-garde design is difficult these days. This is a microcosm of the current social climate. Even if something is high-quality and easily reusable, it may be a little expensive, but overall it's still cheap.
■[COLUMN] How to make 10,000 yen with a celebrity brand. Chinatsu Wakatsuki's WC and Exile's 24karats are popular.
More related information: On December 5th, Mariko Shinoda's "Ricori" held a launch party, and the novelty items distributed there were sold on Yahoo! Auctions for a whopping 1,001,000 yen. The novelty items included a pendant, a notebook, and a set of cookies (supposedly) handmade by Shinomari, along with their packaging. Shinomari herself wrote about how she made the cookies on her blog.

Currently, if you search Yahoo! Auctions, there are several items up for sale, priced at around 50,000 yen. The auction ends around 11pm today, so it will be interesting to see how much the prices go up.
