Akris opens limited edition Ai-filled shop at Omotesando Hills

Jul 7, 2014

Swiss fashion brand Akris will open the "I Love I Pop-Up Store" on the first floor of Omotesando Hills for a limited time from July 19th to August 10th. The store's design concept is "kaleidoscope," featuring the brand's popular "Ai" bag, shaped like the letter "A," and displayed like a kaleidoscope. The store will primarily feature entry-level models, targeting the younger demographic who frequent Omotesando. The aim is to appeal to a new customer base. The lineup will include Techno Fabric (110,000-124,000 yen) and Cherbo Calfskin (134,000-210,000 yen), as well as the pink "I Little Messenger" bag (134,000 yen), available exclusively at this store. The store will also exhibit and sell the brand's signature horsehair bag (488,000 yen), a symbol of the brand's craftsmanship.

There will also be a service where customers will receive an original coin purse (10 colors available) engraved with their initials, and the first 50 people each day to try out the handbag and answer a questionnaire will receive an eye-shaped paper box filled with sweets.

A snap event will be held from 2pm on the first day, the 19th. From August 1st to 10th, advance reservations will be held for the "Chain Eye" bag, which was featured in the 14-15AW Collection, ahead of its general release on October 1st.
