Shingo Wakagi and Erika Kobayashi collaborate on video to celebrate the release of Fink's new album

Jul 22, 2014

British singer-songwriter Fink, recognized by John Legend and known for his collaborations with Amy Winehouse and Bon Iver, released his new album, "Hard Believer," on July 19th. The album features 10 original songs, including "Pilgrim," his latest collaboration with Blair Mackichan, who also wrote Lily Allen's hit "Shame for You." The Japanese version also includes two bonus tracks, including a cover of Nirvana's "In Bloom," reminiscent of Kurt Cobain's classic unplugged performance. To commemorate the release, a Japanese-only lyric video, created in collaboration with photographer and film director Shingo Wakagi and author and manga artist Erika Kobayashi, is now available on YouTube. The beautiful photographs of young trees, which Kobayashi also supervised, and the handwritten Japanese text, which exudes Kobayashi's unique atmosphere, create an even more impressive worldview for the song "Looking Too Closely," resulting in a stunning and deeply moving video work.
