"Continuer," an eyewear specialty store in Ebisu, Tokyo (2-9-2 Ebisu Minami, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), is holding "THE EXHIBITION 2014 SUMMER in Continuer," an event that brings together everything from limited edition items to the latest releases from eyewear brand "ayame." The event runs until August 19th.

The event features a lineup of over 80 of ayame's most popular models. Of particular note is the model commemorating the 100th issue of "OCEANS" magazine, which will be sold exclusively at this store in the Kanto region. This is a special colorway of the masterpiece model "NEWOLD," featuring a cool look that blends black, gray, and blue. The classic post shape is designed with a somewhat modern touch. The price is 25,000 yen.

They've also started selling "photochromic lenses," which darken as the amount of UV rays increases. The glasses are made by Kodak, known for their fast discoloration rate, and come in two colors for fashion glasses: brown and gray. Each will cost 8,000 yen.

In addition, a pre-sale event for the new "Illegal" frame is scheduled to begin in late August.

ayame is an eyewear brand based in Tokyo, founded in 2009 by designer Imaizumi Yu. Each pair of its products is carefully crafted and polished by skilled craftsmen in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture.
