The lifestyle multi-purpose select mall chain Fred Segal will open its first store outside the United States in Daikanyama in spring 2015. It will be operated by MARK STYLER Co., Ltd. The store will be located in a new commercial facility that will open on the former site of the Tokyu Toyoko Line, above the newly created tunnel. Fred Segal will occupy three of the five buildings scattered across the 220-meter-long site, developing a multi-purpose select mall that will include apparel and original product shops, restaurants, a yoga studio, and a hair salon. Fred Segal was founded in Los Angeles, USA in 1960. In addition to two stores in Los Angeles (Melrose Store and Santa Monica Store), a store opened at Los Angeles International Airport in October 2013. The Fred Segal Collective at SLS Las Vegas, consisting of seven stores, is scheduled to open in August 2014 inside the SLS Hotel in Las Vegas.
