Based on the theme of Yohji Yamamoto's "REDEFINING (Redefining Classics)," a pop-up store will be held at The Stage in Isetan Men's Department Store from May 18th to May 31st. (A pop-up store will then be held at The Stage #3 on the 3rd floor of Isetan Kyoto from June 8th to June 14th.)
Rediscovering the timeless elements of Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme, such as patterns that pursue ultimate comfort, materials like silk and gabardine, and processing techniques like dyeing and wrinkling, we have fused these with a new element: art. We will offer a variety of items centered on the style of creations that are born by chance from the collision of different personalities.
We will be offering new items in collaboration with artist Suzume Uchida, which began with the "Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME 2018 Spring/Summer Collection." Based on the theme "What is truly important is invisible to the eye," Uchida is captivated by the "imperfection" of the images that emerge from her memory, which she draws out, imagines, and gazes at over and over again, precisely because they are invisible. We will be offering shirts and cut-and-sew items printed with works created by collages of multiple pencil sketches.

Additionally, at the Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME Fall/Winter 2022-23 Paris Collection, we recently announced a collaboration with Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński, known for his decadent worldview and majestic depictions. This time, we will be launching five styles of aloha shirts printed with five of Beksiński's works, which feature motifs such as death, despair, ruins, and the end. The unique style born from combining two different elements - Beksiński's "nihilistic" style and the "optimistic" atmosphere symbolized by the aloha shirt - represents Yohji Yamamoto's universal design philosophy.

Artist. Her paintings, based on her own documentaries, feature the coexistence of light and darkness, revealing a vivid world of human beings torn between ideals and reality. <Zdzisław Beksiński Profile>:
A Polish fantastic realist painter, photographer, and sculptor, often compared to Ernst Fuchs and H. R. Giger. His nightmarish style, depicting time and space as eternal ruins dominated by an indescribable sense of loneliness and fear due to death, decay, and destruction, and in which only the soul of Eros seems to echo in the void, captivated fans worldwide and garnered overwhelming support. However, he denied being a fantasy painter and lived like a hermit in Poland, never leaving the country. He passed away on February 21, 2005.
