■ "Ninagawa Mika: Self-image" Exhibition Catalogue" by Ninagawa Mika

Worldwide known for her vivid, richly colored photographs, Ninagawa Mika has produced numerous works that showcase her striking "Ninagawa color," capturing the brilliance of idols, models, and flowers, as well as works that capture the distortions and stagnation that accompany glamour and happiness, the shadow of decline, and the presence of death.

This book, published as a catalog for Mika Ninagawa: Self-image, her solo exhibition currently running at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art until May 10th, features three artworks: "noir," which focuses on the darkness and shadows around us; "PLANT A TREE," which captures cherry blossoms falling on the surface of a river with great concentration; and "Self-image," a self-portrait that she has been taking intermittently since the beginning of her career, as well as unpublished works.
