From December 23rd to 25th, the Parisian food brand FAUCHON will be selling Christmas cakes at Takashimaya, including some exclusives. They offer three types of bûches and a first-time Santa hat.
This year's theme is "Noël Eclat," featuring an abundance of exotic spices, including guava, mango, tropical fruits, and Sichuan pepper.
The bûches are carefully crafted with a variety of textures, allowing you to enjoy the softness of sponge cake, the smoothness of mousse, and the crunch of nuts all in one cake. The "Bûche Caractique," available at all Takashimaya stores (excluding some locations), is made with caramel, vanilla, and crushed spice cookies wrapped in white chocolate. The "Bûche Fruité," made with coconut cookies, lime-flavored cream cheese, and berry jelly, and the "Bûche Marron Poire," made with whiskey-infused chestnut mousse and stewed pears wrapped in milk chocolate, are only available at the Nihonbashi, Shinjuku, and Yokohama stores. The price is 4,000 yen each.
The "Santa Hat" (2,000 yen), which is available for the first time only at the Nihonbashi store, is a unique cake shaped like Santa Claus' hat. It has a biscuit chocolate base layered with milk ganache and milk chocolate mousse. The pompoms are made of gummies. Reservations are being accepted until December 14th.
