Autumn Fashion: 8 Autumn Outing Spots to Enjoy During Silver Week [Shopping Edition]

Silver Week is upon us as autumn deepens. While gourmet food and art are great, you'll also want to fully enjoy fashion. We've picked out the latest must-know new shops, including new landmarks opening in major cities, first flagship stores, and newly renovated select shops!

Details of the shops at Ginza EXIT MELSA have been announced. A total of 39 shops will be opening, including some that are "firsts in Japan, Tokyo, and Ginza."

The Ginza shopping complex New Melsa has reopened under the name "EXIT MELSA." The shop will feature 27 retail stores, some of which are new to Japan, Tokyo, and Ginza, 11 restaurants, and 1 service store, for a total of 39 shops. With redevelopment underway in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Ginza area is attracting increasing attention.


The new "Kyoto BAL" has had its grand opening in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. Offering a high-quality shopping experience in a store with a total floor area of 12,000m2

"Kyoto BAL" has had its grand opening in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. Of the 33 stores housed there, the most notable is Ron Herman, the largest in Japan, located on the 6th floor. The same floor also houses RH CAFE, a café run by Ron Herman.


The Dover Ginza store has undergone an expansion and renovation. Evolving into a "chaotic" luxury store

Dover Street Market Ginza, which recently celebrated its grand reopening, has expanded its selection of luxury brands by dedicating part of its sixth floor to retail. The biggest news is the addition of Gucci, Valentino, and Prada.


Reebok Classic's first directly-managed store opens in Harajuku. A reissue of the "Ventilator" and 15 limited-edition sneakers are now available

Reebok Classic's first directly-managed store, the Reebok Classic Store Harajuku, has opened on Cat Street in Harajuku. The two-floor store regularly stocks approximately 1,000 items, including reissues of shoes and apparel such as the "Instapump Fury" and "Ventilator."


Converse Tokyo opens its first store in Aoyama. Noguchi Tsuyoshi directs the look

The concept store of Converse Tokyo, which debuted with the 15-16 AW collection, has opened on Miyuki-dori in Aoyama. The store offers a complete collection including denim, cut-and-sew items made in Japan, as well as sneakers, outerwear, dresses, bottoms, hats, bags, accessories and more. Store-exclusive items will also be available, so keep an eye out!


Ami Alexandre Matiussi opens its first directly managed store in Japan in Omotesando

AMI ALEXANDRE MATTIUSSI's first flagship store in Japan, "AMI OMOTESANDO," has opened on the first floor of GYRE in Omotesando. To commemorate the opening, limited items will also be released. The lineup is expected to include printed shirts, laptop pouches, and knitwear.
