Each bookstore will act as a concierge, recommending "the book you should read now" to FASHION HEADLINE readers. Every Friday, Daikanyama T-Site (17-5 Sarugaku-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will introduce a book selected by the store.
■ "My Snack Recipes" by Isabelle BOINOT
Isabelle Boinot is a Paris-based artist active in a variety of fields, including drawing, collage, embroidery, and video, in France, Japan, and other countries.
Her three recipe books, "MES RECETTES POUR LE GOUTER," "MES RECETTES A EMPORTER," and "MES RECETTES DE FETES," feature cute illustrations and handwritten text drawn by her love of delicious food. Although they are written in French, they have become a popular series that has been a long-selling hit at Daikanyama T-Site.
This book is the long-awaited Japanese version of one of those books, "Mes recettes pour le gouter." To celebrate the publication of this book, author Isabelle Boinault will be visiting Japan. A talk event will be held on October 8th in the event space on the second floor of Tsutaya Bookstore Building 1.
At the event, Isabelle will talk about various anecdotes while projecting photos of food, landscapes, and other things taken from her unique perspective. The interpreter on the day will be Isabelle's friend, Noriko Shingyouchi, who translated and hand-lettered the book. Participation in the event is possible with a participation ticket received when you reserve or purchase the book at Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore; reservations are currently being accepted in-store and online. The event is limited to 60 people.
