Naruk, organic fir tree cosmetics that let you feel the relaxing time of the forest, is born

Dec 13, 2015

Fupu no Mori, which produces Hokkaido fir essential oil and other products using Hokkaido forest materials, will launch a new brand, NALUQ, on December 24th. Based on the concept of a "forest lifestyle," the brand offers organic fir cosmetics and miscellaneous goods. The brand name comes from the word "NALUQ," a word used by forest workers to mean "relaxed and peaceful." The base fragrance is the rare Hokkaido fir essential oil distilled in-house. The raw material is the branches and leaves of Abies sachalinensis (Sakhalin fir) harvested from FSC®-certified forests in Shimokawa, Hokkaido, which promotes sustainable forest management. The refreshing and soft scent of Hokkaido fir is blended with citrus and floral notes to express the worldview of NALUQ, with themes such as the profusion of flowers blooming in the forest in spring and the lichens growing on the trees in the cool, moist forest. The lineup consists of eight products: Naruk Hand Cream (2,500 yen), which leaves hands firm and moisturized; Naruk Lip Balm (2,300 yen), which contains Hokkaido beeswax; Naruk Body Oil (3,200 yen), which contains birch bark extract to firm the skin; Naruk Soap (2,000 yen), which uses only natural vegetable oils; Naruk Essential Oil Hokkaido Fir (1,800 yen), which lets you enjoy the refreshing scent of Hokkaido forests; Naruk Firewood Candle (bundle/8,000 yen, single/2,000 yen); Naruk Linen Water (2,100 yen); and Naruk Aroma Pillow (11,000 yen). An insect repellent spray is also scheduled to go on sale next spring.
