The Christmas event "Season's Glitterings" will be held at ARK Hills in Akasaka, Tokyo, until January 3, 2016. In the center of ARK Karajan Square, a 7.5-meter-tall "Japanese Christmas tree" will be created by the art collective Mirrorballer, using polarization film, Tosa washi paper, and 50 mirror balls. The light reflected by the mirror balls will be soft and dazzling as it passes through the Tosa washi paper, and will then be transformed into various colors through the polarization film. A similar 3-meter-tall object, made of the same materials and construction, will also be installed near the waterfall plaza in ARK Karajan Square. During the event, a Christmas goods workshop will also be held. On December 13, from 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 PM, the candle shop honey candle will hold a workshop where participants can make their own aroma wax sachets. The "Hills Marche," held every Saturday, sells fresh seasonal ingredients perfect for special Christmas dinners and hot pot dishes. From 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM on December 19th, the "Handbell Choir in Hills Marche" concert will be held by the handbell choir, made up of junior and senior high school students from Tamagawa Gakuen, who are active both domestically and internationally. Additionally, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on December 13th, a flea market featuring antique goods and jewelry will be held. Christmas concerts will also be held at Suntory Hall from 3:00 PM on December 23rd and 7:00 PM on December 24th. On the 23rd, a world-class early music orchestra and choir will perform the complete version of Handel's "Messiah." On the 24th, the BCJ will perform famous Christmas songs set to a pageant (drama).
In addition, until December 25th, Christmas-only menus will be available at Bubby's New York Ark Hills on the second floor of the Ark Mori Building and Fukushimaya on the first basement floor of Ark Hills South Tower.
