These sneakers, called "ShiftWear," may look like ordinary sneakers, but they're packed with incredible high-tech features. Their bodies are covered in colored electronic paper, and you can control them via a dedicated app on your smartphone or other device to display any design you like on the electronic paper. What's more, they support not only still images but also video, allowing you to print animated images.
They communicate via Bluetooth, and their batteries automatically charge as you walk, so you never have to worry about running out of power. Since they're sneakers, they're designed for bad weather and are waterproof. They're even machine washable. The soles are made with Kevlar fiber, the same material used in bulletproof vests, for added durability.

This next-generation sneaker, "ShiftWear," is seeking funding on the crowdfunding site INDIEGOGO, and has already raised more than six times its target of $25,000, raising expectations. Prices range from $150 to $350, and the shoes are available in three styles: low, mid, and high-top. Preorders are currently being accepted. A special edition model covered entirely in electronic paper is also available, limited to 2,000 pairs, for $1,000.
