Isetan Shinjuku Re-Style will be hosting "#this dress vol.4" from April 6th to April 19th. This Vol.4 is based on the concept of "transformation," and features a curated selection of 100 "one-off" dresses, ranging from domestic and international brands to vintage pieces. These dresses will strip away the "image" others know about you, your socially-accepted "attributes and titles," and even the "personality" you've unconsciously adopted. They'll cast a spell of transformation on you, with an unconventional freedom, irresponsibility, and a total lack of concern for everything. Discover a side of yourself that no one else knows, a side that you yourself haven't even noticed.

Presentation by "IWAKAN" Powered by REING

Re-Style wants to go beyond gender and stereotypes and be a shop that can be visited by everyone who loves fashion, wants to have fun, and wants to transform themselves through fashion. For this "#thisdress" event, we collaborated with REING, the producer of the magazine "IWAKAN," which was founded with the concept of questioning the "discomfort" of everyday life. The collaboration with ReStyle at Isetan Shinjuku was prompted by the fact that people with diverse backgrounds and values resonated with the event's message of "freedom to break away from stereotypes and enjoy transformation." We will share photos and videos of a runway show by a community that shares IWAKAN's creative expression of diverse queer culture and discomfort with gender norms, as well as shopping at the "#thisdress" venue. The magazine "IWAKAN" was launched in October 2020 with the concept of questioning the "discomfort" felt in the world's common sense. Produced by "REING," it focuses on the discomfort felt toward gender norms and the male-female binary, and is inspired by the desire to support people who feel uncomfortable with various "common sense."

About Re-Style
An independently curated shop established at the Isetan Shinjuku store in 1996, Re-Style carries the latest collections from 70 to 80 domestic and international brands.
