Isetan Shinjuku will be hosting the Mame Kurogouchi 2022 Spring/Summer Spring Collection “Land” POP UP at Center Park/Promotion on the 3rd floor of the Main Building from March 30th to April 5th. Mame Kurogouchi x Isetan Shinjuku is a collaborative project that promotes a variety of activities, including six POP UP events per year, special product lineups, and a series on the Mitsukoshi Isetan online page. This is the fifth installment in the project, and we will be introducing the Mame Kurogouchi 2022 Spring/Summer Collection. The entire lineup of approximately 65 items from the 2022 Spring/Summer Collection will be on display, including four items in colors exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku.

Traditional Pattern Jacquard Blouson 88,000 yen

This blouson, which uses jacquard to represent the melting snow and the emergence of spring buds, comes in a pale beige colour exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku. The woven, tie-dyed jacquard creates a sheer, airy impression, while the geometric pattern lends a sense of texture, creating depth. The fabric is also water-repellent.

Itajime Shibori Cotton Double Face Dress 66,000 yen

This double face dress features a striking soft gradation created using the traditional itajime shibori technique, and comes in a green gradation color exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku, inspired by the green of plants that sprout in spring. Although made from jersey material, the shoulder design, which is open on just one side, and the bloused waist create a sensual impression.

This double-face top is made from the same material as the dress mentioned above, and comes in a green gradient color exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku, inspired by the green of plants that sprout in spring. The voluminous fabric has a high-quality luster and smooth texture, gently enveloping the skin.


Introducing the new items from the 2022 Spring/Summer Collection

The collection theme is "Land." The collection draws on the history of the land and the depths of personal memories to express, through a variety of materials, a pale spring scene emerging from the mist. Designer Maiko Kurokawa was born and raised in Nagano and witnessed the sight of new life sprouting from beneath the melting snow, flowers blooming in vacant lots and on banks, and cherry blossom petals dyeing the waterways a pale pink, evoking memories of the distant past. These hazy, faint scenes are expressed through unique designs and artisanal techniques, from materials to clothing.
