To celebrate the 130th anniversary of Isetan's founding, Isetan Shinjuku will host a special live event featuring Yumi Matsutoya, "ISETAN SUMMER FES. 2016 ~A Midsummer Night's Dream with Yuming~," on July 22nd and 23rd.
The event is part of the "ISETAN SUMMER FES." campaign, which proposes summer lifestyles and will run from July 20th to 26th at Isetan Shinjuku. On July 22nd and 23rd, the festival will be livened up with music under the theme of "Hawaii."
"ISETAN SUMMER FES. 2016 ~A Midsummer Night's Dream with Yuming~" was made possible because Yumi Matsutoya created the theme song for Isetan 40 years ago. During the live performance, Masataka Matsutoya will perform live for the first time "Summer Resort Incidents Hawaiian Ver.", a special arrangement made just for the festival. In addition, guests with ties to Hawaii will be DJing and performing, and for two days only, the rooftop beer garden "SKY PARADISE BEER GARDEN" will be offering a special Hawaiian-themed menu supervised by Yuming. The Isetan website is also accepting song requests along with passionate stories such as "summer love," "summer memories," and "memorable presents."
