On July 21, adidas will release a new model of its iconic UltraBOOST shoe, the UltraBOOST Uncaged (19,990 yen).

The UltraBOOST Uncaged is a high-performance, stylish running shoe that removes the polyurethane cage from the midfoot of the UltraBOOST and instead uses only a Primeknit upper for increased support. By using 100% BOOST foam, the shoe delivers explosive cushioning and rebound, creating an unprecedented running experience.

The shoe also features a Stretchweb outsole, which is coarse where cushioning is needed and a fine mesh where rebound and stability are needed. The shoe adapts to the changing shape of the BOOST foam and the movement of the foot, further improving cushioning. Additionally, the shoe features a Torsion System in the midfoot, specially designed for this shoe. This controls pronation (twisting movement of the foot), improving landing stability and control, resulting in smoother center of gravity movement.
