Former love hotel turned creative facility "Paradise" opens to the public free of charge for two days only

PARADISE, a creative facility in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, managed and operated by Machizu Creative Co., Ltd., will hold a facility open house event, "NEW MAD PARADISE," on January 31st and February 1st. The event will feature PARADISE AIR, a lodging facility based on the concept of "one stay, one talent," and artists from Japan and abroad who gather at the attached creator's atelier, PARADISE STUDIO. During the event, artist Matt Sheridan and video artist Alexandra Walaszek, who are currently visiting Japan, will hold an open studio. The event will also be held in collaboration with the creator's atelier, PARADISE STUDIO, and will feature a variety of other events, including workshops and live performances. The event will be organized by MAD City, a private urban development project in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, led by Machizu Creative, and planned and produced by Taiyo to Hoshizora LLP, an event planning and campground management company. Prior to the event, a "Pre-Tour & Talk" (1,000 yen) is scheduled for January 30th, which will include talks and a social gathering. Participating artists will be announced on the MAD City official website's event page (https://madcity.jp/2015/01/new-mad-paradise/) from January 23rd onwards.
