MSGM will release a new collection in early February in collaboration with Toiletpaper magazine.
The collection, which was first unveiled in Milan in July 2014, incorporates a number of provocative images from the magazine's photography by two artists, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. A woman's foot in heels crosses a foot clad in a man's shoe. Colorful, edgy, and pop graphics appear, including an eye motif placed on a crushed rose and colorful tropical bird wings. Macro gingham is printed with juicy, shiny apples.
Other images from the previous collaborative collection, such as frogs, burgers, puckered apples, and hands holding lipstick, are featured on beachwear and men's nylon boxer shorts. Bright colors and pop images are exaggerated across a wide range of items, including sweatshirts, swimwear, and shirts.
Furthermore, in mid-February, Alexander Afanasyev's capsule collection "The Firebird and Princess Vasilissa" will be released. This collection is inspired by the happy ending of a Russian fairy tale about a hunter and princess. The beautiful Princess Vasilissa faces numerous challenges from an evil king over her. This story is expressed in a luxurious and fantastical way with a "fairy-tapestry tale" print.
The short dresses incorporate a 1960s flavor, while the silk chiffon dresses are printed with roses and "King of Persia." The retro shapes and vivid colors evoke the Russian princess style. This is combined with a nylon bomber jacket, a hoodie, and a denim jacket to create a contemporary and modern look.
