Cherry blossoms hidden in camouflage help rebuild Tohoku, Kiehl's x A Bathing Ape collaboration cream

Jan 26, 2015

On February 6th, Kiehl's will release "Kiehl's Cream UFC" (49g/3,800 yen, 123g/6,600 yen), a collaboration with A BATHING APE(R) as the first part of their 2015 Tohoku Support Project.

For this collaboration, the packaging features A BAPE(R) CAMO camouflage pattern, a signature of A BAPE(R). A single cherry blossom petal is designed to express hope for recovery. All sales will be donated to the NPO Sakura Namiki Network, which will use the proceeds to plant trees in the disaster-stricken areas and maintain the cherry blossoms.

Kiehl's Cream UFC is the brand's signature moisturizing cream, containing squalane and antarcticine for their high moisturizing properties, as well as Imperata cylindrica root extract, which replenishes potassium and moisture. In 2005, a Greenland expedition brought the cream to the Arctic, where it was confirmed to maintain its moisturizing effects for 24 hours, even in the bitter cold of minus 43 degrees Celsius.
