It seems Vivienne Westwood likes to surprise people. At the Vivienne Westwood MAN Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection, which was unveiled in Milan on the 18th, Vivienne Westwood herself appeared hand in hand with her husband Andreas at the finale wearing a long shirt with a large print of Prince Charles wearing an army beret. The press release also praised Prince Charles's charity work, stating, "While I was a punk and fighting for human rights in the 1970s, the young Prince Charles was more spiritually inclined, more culturally conscious than I was, and, more importantly, was pursuing a career as an organic farmer." In 1977, she launched punk fashion on the King's Road with a blacked-out "GOD SAVES THE QUEEN" logo over a photo of Her Majesty the Queen. The staff T-shirts for her current show, featuring a portrait of Prince Charles, like the one Vivienne Westwood wore in the finale, have become an iconic piece. The collection features crazy British-inspired patterns, combining the brand's signature check-on-check, bias check, and stripes. The jacket silhouettes evoke classic Italian style details, such as the big lapels, double-breasted jackets, and large shawl collars of the 1990s Vivienne Westwood collection. The feminine knitwear and cardigans are inspired by the idea of a girl wearing her father's items, and unisex elements are incorporated throughout the collection.
