Alessandra Facchinetti's third season at TOD'S, the Spring/Summer 2015 collection, featured a "Private Green" theme, showcasing lightweight leather styles even in the summer. The collection featured refreshing colors like bright white, brown, lilac, and blue. "Layered leather pieces of different thicknesses envelop and adorn the body in organic forms," Facchinetti said. The collection showcased a series of feminine styles that fully utilized the brand's leather expertise, including skirts and dresses with laser-cut floral patterns and a lightweight nylon-like leather bomber jacket layered over a leather shirt. The floral graphics adorning the mesh-like openings on the body create an airy feel. Sporty elements like large square pockets and snap buttons were also incorporated. One key piece was the biker jacket, crafted in a variety of leather variations. From soft, rounded edges to elaborate inlaid details, each piece featured a tight, airy fit like a shirt.
The belt, which wraps around the waist and features an abstract curve, is inspired by a horse riding saddle. The same goes for the new Cape Bag, which closes on both sides like a petal. The new Flower Bag also has a flared opening, creating a cute curve.
The iconic Gommino shoe is now dazzling with spira (pins). Also announced are moccasins with a rope wrapped around the sole like espadrilles, perfect for spring and summer.
