Pierre Hermé makes special visit to Japan for one-night-only special dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Kyoto

Jan 26, 2015

On February 6th, The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto will offer a special dinner plan, "Pierre Hermé Paris" (¥12,000), at its Italian restaurant, La Locanda.
This event commemorates the hotel's first anniversary. Pierre Hermé, the pastry chef of Pierre Hermé Paris, will be visiting Japan on the day. Along with his signature Italian cuisine, four desserts created specially for the occasion will be served.
Hermé himself will be hosting guests at the venue, walking around the tables and sharing the thoughts behind the desserts. The dinner will be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, reminiscent of a home party. After the meal, a souvenir from Pierre Hermé Paris will be available, making this an evening not to be missed for fans.
The following morning, on the 7th, Pierre Hermé will be holding a hot chocolate demonstration (¥10,000) in the hotel's lobby lounge. Guests can finish off their sweet-filled stay with a chocolate buffet themed around "Infiniment Chocolat," as well as sandwiches and canapés.

In addition, at 4 pm on the 7th, a signing session with Hermé will be held at Pierre Hermé Paris inside the hotel. Those who bring their own cameras will be able to take commemorative photos, and macaron boxes exclusive to The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto will be on sale.
