Musician Alice Cooper was born on February 4, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

She debuted in 1969 with the album "Pretty's for You," garnering attention for her eccentric makeup and theatrical performances. Her 1971 album "Eighteen" and her 1972 album "School's Out" were huge hits. At the time, she was categorized as glam rock, but she later created the genre known as shock rock, earning her the admiration of many rock stars.

After her band broke up, her popularity waned somewhat in the 1980s, but she regained prominence with the hit album "Trash" in 1989, which featured a stellar cast of guests. Since then, she has experienced many ups and downs, but she remains active to this day. Not only rockers such as Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, and Guns N' Roses, but also painter Salvador Dali is known to be a fan of his and has appeared at his live shows. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
