Mitsui Fudosan is carrying out a large-scale renovation of Arcakit Kinshicho, a commercial facility in front of JR Kinshicho Station.
By dividing the area, the number of stores will increase significantly from the current 69 to 94, and a total of 51 stores will open sequentially between March 20th and July, including 30 new stores and 21 renovated or relocated stores. Casual brands such as GU and MUJI, supermarket Life, drugstore Sundrug, and dry cleaners will open, aiming to strengthen support for everyday life. A review of the floor layout will see an expansion and concentration of women's stores on the second floor. The first and second floors will feature studio CLIP, which sells miscellaneous goods and clothing, gift shop PRESENT PRESENT, lifestyle shop Hare no hi, and Korean cosmetics brand TONY MOLY, opening its second store in the Kanto region. Other stores planned will also include more stores selling lingerie, fashion accessories, and men's wear.
Arca Kit Kinshicho opened in 2002 as a "lifestyle value mall" to meet the daily needs of Joto area residents in one stop after Sogo Department Store closed. Since then, it has had some 100 million visitors (as of the end of last year).
