Actress and model Haruna Kawaguchi was born on February 10, 1995, in Nagasaki Prefecture.
In 2007, after winning the grand prize at an audition for the teen magazine "Nicola," she was selected to join Ken-On's children's division, "Ken-On." She made her modeling debut in the October issue of "Nicola" that same year. She subsequently gained popularity by appearing in commercials for Mitsui Rehouse and Pocari Sweat.
In 2011, she graduated from Nicola and announced that she would focus on acting. In July of the same year, she made her TV drama debut in the late-night TBS drama "Ouran High School Host Club," and in 2012, she made her film debut in the feature film version. Last summer, she was also selected as the image character for the women's clothing brand "LOWRYS FARM."

At the Japan Jewelry Best Dresser Awards, announced in January this year, she was crowned the winner in the teens category. Upcoming releases include the film "Bakumatsu High School Students" and her lead role in "Say I Love You," due for release in the summer.
