Kintetsu Department Store will open "Soraha," a specialty shopping mall in the Abeno Harukas Wing Building, on February 22nd. The mall will occupy part of the second basement floor and floors two through four above ground, covering an area of 11,000 square meters. It will house 105 stores and aim for annual sales of 10 billion yen. The mall targets women in their late teens to late twenties. The mall will be divided into six areas. 60% of the store will be clothing, and 40% will be non-clothing items such as cosmetics and sundries. Aiming for a time-consuming sales floor, the mall will feature a one-time lesson space called "shumian" and an antenna shop for "JOL," a reader-participation media outlet aimed at teenagers. Meanwhile, five new retail stores will be opening nationwide for the first time: "C.BY.C," "Luxe Rose One Way," "Riente," "Island," and "Gypsoul by goa." "Island" is a physical store for the online shopping site "Island," and will be a complex store for four brands including "Cecil McBee."
Abeno Harukas will open the remaining facilities and floors one by one, with the grand opening of the entire building on March 7th. With the opening of "Soraha," all of the main retail spaces are now open.
