Paul Stuart Aoyama store to renew in March. Orders now available

Feb 28, 2014

Sanyo Shokai's Paul Stuart Aoyama store (5-7-20 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will be renovated and reopened on March 8th as a store that aims to combine tradition and innovation and offer the comprehensive services you expect from a flagship store.

The entrance will feature "The Wall," the same wall used in the New York store. The approximately 729-square-meter store features marble and natural wood flooring, Venetian stucco walls, and tropical wood fixtures, recreating a space reminiscent of 1960s Italian interior design. Interior designer Ueki Kanji was hired to design the store. New lighting will also be installed on the upper exterior walls, illuminating the Aoyama store's iconic stone wall at night.

A presentation corner for Phineas Cole, which launched in Japan last fall, will be set up on the first floor, selling women's wear on the left side and men's wear in the back. The general goods corner near the entrance will sell limited edition tote bags and clutch bags commemorating the reopening of the renovated Aoyama store.

The second floor offers men's and women's formal wear and men's shoes. There will also be a "Made to Measure" corner, a service exclusive to directly managed stores, which offers custom-made adjustments for garment length and sleeve length, as well as adjustments to up to 57 areas to suit specific body shapes, such as the curvature of the back and the balance of shoulder lift. In addition to suits, custom-made shirts, cufflinks, belts and other items will also be available.
