In the series [From cities: Longing for cities around the world], we bring you the latest information from the world's cities, including Paris, Milan, New York, etc., notable addresses, and real city snaps! For a while, we'll be sending you updates with the hope that in the near future, when we can travel abroad freely again, we'll be able to go.
In this 29th installment, we report on the fashionistas who livened up the off-runway shows at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall 2022, which was held from February 11th to February 16th, and the latest styling from models who have just finished the runway shows.

The Omicron strain, which had been raging since the end of the year, began to subside as if in time for the start of NYFW, and on February 10th, just before the opening, New York State relaxed regulations and announced the abolition of the requirement to wear masks in indoor facilities.

While some brands continue to choose to hold presentations online, a variety of brands, including Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, and Coach, held in-person runway shows inviting guests. As with last September's event, vaccination certificates were checked and guests were encouraged to wear masks at the entrances to each show venue, but there was less tension than last time, and most guests entered the venue without masks, with smiles beaming from the faces of the guests.

Off the runway, styles with a Y2K flair were everywhere. As usual, this year's NYFW saw sub-zero temperatures every day. Despite being held in the bitterly cold weather with occasional flurries of snow, it was surprising to see the increase in healthy, revealing outfits! Also noticeable were vibrant colors and styling reminiscent of Harajuku and Shibuya in the early 2000s. Popular items among guests included shiny outerwear, cropped t-shirts, and baggy pants, all of which seem to evoke Y2K. Check out these energetic outfits that will blow away the bitterly cold.
