Soaptopia, a brand offering body care products made with natural ingredients, is commercializing and selling the winning designs from the 2014 Soap Contest. One of the designs, "Happy Mint," will go on sale from August 6th. The Soap Contest is a design contest where participants can create their own original soap blend with their favorite colors and scents. Jolie, the brand's founder, personally selects the designs, and the winning designs will be commercialized. This year's winning design, "Happy Mint," was created by Ibuki, a 9-year-old boy living in Japan. Unhappy with the dull colors of natural soaps, Ibuki designed a refreshing soap reminiscent of a blue sky. The use of peppermint and lemon in the fragrance blend is a fitting choice, as he has lived in contact with nature since childhood.
Beauty Apothecary, located on the second basement floor of Isetan Shinjuku, is hosting a pop-up store with the theme "HAPPY SUMMER VACATION" for a limited time until August 5th. They are also offering advance sales of "Happy Mint" ahead of its release on August 6th. The store also features a bathtub designed in the image of the brand's iconic "cat's paw" design, and customers who spend over 3,000 yen will receive a free mini-sized "Shea Butter Soap." This soap is made from whipped shea butter and almond oil, and can be used for skin care by people of all ages, from babies to adults.
All of the winning entries from the "Soap Contest 2014," including "Happy Mint," are priced at 1,400 yen (165g).
