Vogue Girl has been completely redesigned for the IT girl crowd. Elle Fanning is on the cover of the latest issue.

Aug 21, 2014

VOGUE GIRL (published by Condé Nast Japan), which launched in March 2011 as a sister brand of fashion magazine VOGUE, is undergoing a full renewal.

Targeted not only as a fashionable "it" girl, but also as an international "IT girl" in her 20s who is IT-savvy and adept at using social media, the magazine is comprised of three pillars: magazine, digital, and membership. Published twice a year in March and August to coincide with the spring/summer and fall/winter seasons, it covers trends from fashion stories of top models and artists to culture. The new editor-in-chief is Miyasaka Yoshiko, former editor-in-chief of ELLE ONLINE.

The August 23rd issue, featuring actress Elle Fanning on the cover, will feature not only autumn/winter trends but also a special interview with Stella McCartney, a latte feature, and career advice. Some bookstores will also be running a campaign where customers will receive a free Happy Socks or Maybelline lipstick with every purchase.

In addition, the fully smartphone-compatible VOGUEGIRL.jp will also be fully revamped on August 18th. It will be packed with news for girls across a wide range of genres, including fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, as well as original content photographed and written specifically for the site.

By becoming a Vogue Girl member, you will be able to view member-only digital content and e-mail newsletters, and will also be invited to special events and parties. If you are selected as a Vogue Girl Instagrammer, also known as a "VGRAMER," you will not only be able to share information with Vogue Girls, but will also be able to interact with VGRAMERs from all over the world. In addition, a readers-only event, "FASHION UNIVERSITY," will also be held.
