Wako Main Building is known as a Ginza landmark. Its clock tower is the second generation, completed in 1932. This year, 2022, marks the 90th anniversary of its completion and also the 75th anniversary of the founding of Wako Co., Ltd. A limited edition "WAKO Watch" will be released to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the clock tower's completion, with pre-orders opening on February 24th.

WAKO Watch has previously created limited edition models to mark the 60th, 70th, and 80th anniversaries of the clock tower's completion. This time, the dial is inspired by the granite used on the main building's exterior walls, and the indexes feature a stylish design with Arabic numerals. In response to customer requests for an elegant, slim watch that can be easily coordinated with any outfit, this watch is equipped with the cal. 6898, an ultra-thin hand-wound movement from the cal. 68 series used in Seiko's highest-end dress watches, featuring a small second hand. This caliber is just 1.98mm thick, and even a skilled watchmaker can only assemble one or two per day.
The words "CLOCK TOWER 90TH ANNIVERSARY" and an illustration of the main building are printed in gold vapor deposition on the glass back cover. The printing position has been carefully selected so as not to obscure the heart of the movement. The serial number No.**/50 gives it a special finish.
