On August 6th, kolor held its 10th anniversary party at the Audi Forum Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo. The venue, decorated in the brand's signature blue, featured a giant Jenga tower and a display of shirts from the brand's first collection and jackets from the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection, currently available in stores, packed into ice. Blue was also incorporated into the catering. Also on the day, sales stands were set up to sell items created in collaboration with Cruciani, Porter, and Puma to commemorate the brand's 10th anniversary. The Cruciani collaboration included a high-gauge cashmere knit with a signature Kolor silhouette. The Porter collaboration included a backpack made from Kolor's original material. The Puma collaboration featured a Puma SKY2 model sneaker in white leather with a fluorescent green tan. Three items from each collaboration were also available at Kolor Minami-Aoyama and Dover Street Market Ginza. Designer Junichi Abe said, "I'm really happy we've been able to continue for 10 years. I want to thank everyone. When we started, we never could have predicted the situation we're in now. Just creating and selling each collection is enough for us. However, we think hard, test many times, and strive to present designs and atmospheres that we believe are good, so we're happy when so many people recognize them. If they don't recognize them, we'll know that something is wrong, and we'll keep going." Regarding the next 10 years, he said, "I'm not thinking too much about the future. Instead, I'm focusing on what to do with the next collection and steadily making what's in front of me as perfect as possible. Of course, we need overseas shops, but rather than thinking about future plans, I think that creating good collections each season and receiving positive reviews will lead to the next development."
