"TOKYO CRAFT MARKET | Season 04: Winter 2017" will be held on the weekend of February 11th and 12th under the roof and in the courtyard of the United Nations University in Aoyama, Tokyo.

Echizen washi, a region famous for its handmade washi paper, values the power of nature, letting go of both good and bad, and creating new things every day. While the sentiment of finding beauty in the sacred things hidden in nature and creating new things still lives on in the making of Echizen washi, the market also offers an opportunity to consider how the landscape surrounding art, design, crafts, and even craft food is changing, how it can be developed, and how it should be created. Participating vendors will offer a wide variety of items, from furniture, pottery, wooden accessories, miscellaneous goods, and accessories to vegan burgers, rice balls, brown rice sweet soup, chocolate, pizza, oden, and other "craft" items.

The event will be packed with exciting content, including "Next tea Community - A Tea Master's Adventure, a Quest for Delicious Taste," which aims to create a new community platform that brings together the love of tea and connects people to the future, with the aim of further developing and promoting tea culture, and "Sekori-so FACTORY," a collaboration with the community space "Sekori-so" in Tsukishima, Tokyo, which will connect textile factories and apparel designers to learn about the challenges textile factories face, such as thread, weaving, design, and material characteristics, as well as the direction future fashion should take.
