White Mountaineering, created by Yosuke Aizawa, held a show for its Fall/Winter 2017-18 men's collection in a garage in the 16th arrondissement. He elevated sporty outdoor wear like snowboard jackets and workwear like rescue jackets with various twists, showcasing a sophisticated blend of functionality and design. The show opened with a monochromatic black theme, complemented by khaki, beige, red, and burgundy pieces. Prints of dead leaves and branches added a poetic touch. A long-sleeved shirt featuring the words "WHITE MOUNTAINEERING" in a rock t-shirt style and a ribbed baseball jacket were elongated to create new proportions. Layering was also intriguing, with a knit and fur jacket layered over another jacket, creating contrast with different hem lengths. The shirring on the sleeves of black bombers and burgundy jackets created a unique sense of volume. The knitwear paired with patchwork baggy pants features a distressed weave, showing attention to detail.
