Following on from last season, FRED PERRY will begin accepting pre-orders for the "FRED PERRY x MUVEIL" capsule collection, collaborating with MUVEIL, from noon on February 17th. This season's theme is tennis, a sport that lies deep in Fred Perry's roots. The collection features pieces inspired by the era when tennis was an aristocratic pastime elegantly enjoyed by gentlemen and ladies in party suits and long dresses. The lineup includes shirts and dresses made from low-gauge pique fabric combined with soft chiffon and lace, as well as a track jacket with detachable jewels and a tweed skirt layered with organza. Retro and elegant tennis wear has been updated for a modern look by adding MUVEIL's feminine and high-quality elements. Regarding the collection, MUVEIL designer Michiko Nakayama said, "I thought the old tennis style was very beautiful, so I designed it imagining what kind of clothes people would wear when playing tennis today if it hadn't evolved as a sport."
