Chloé, under the creative direction of Clare Waight Keller, has unveiled its Fall 2017 collection. The collection embodies the attitude of a passionate, independent woman. The looks are reminiscent of the wardrobes worn by free-spirited heroines of late 1970s New York, played by stars like Meryl Streep and Shelley Duvall. Their nonchalant wardrobes, including textured, flowing puff-sleeved tops and floral tulle lace dresses, are updated with soft, functional silhouettes and romantic details, presented in Chloé's signature color palette of butter yellow, marigold, pale mint, carmine, and cinnamon. Tailored jackets and coats crafted from a mix of materials are paired with generously sized wide-leg trousers, emphasizing a "long and lean" look. The subtly flared silhouettes create a feminine look. Knitwear with a rustic autumnal feel, such as multicolored bubble wool knits with voluminous sleeves, mélange wool sweater dresses, and crew neck sweaters with pom-pom trim, also exude a relaxed air thanks to the playful use of color and detail. A wide variety of outerwear is available, including aviator jackets with double ring straps, zip bomber jackets, two-tone blousons, and parkas. An anorak jacket made of patchwork shearling evokes the strength of safari. The newly introduced "OWEN" bag collection features barrel-shaped bags in leather and suede with double straps and chunky gold hardware and tassels. Footwear includes decorative lace-up ankle boots with block heels and scalloped details, and strappy sandals lined with metallic studs, making for a statement piece that adorns the collection.
