Pottery from Kasama and Mashiko, the towns of pottery, will be gathered in Shibuya! Flower and pottery workshops by Little and Uvre will also be held.

"GO KASAMASHIKO via TOKYO: To the Ideal Craft Town - The Charms of Kasama and Mashiko" is an event where you can experience the charms of Kasama and Mashiko, known as pottery villages, and it will be held from February 16th to 22nd at COURT on the 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie and other locations.

Kasama and Mashiko are surrounded by beautiful nature and thrive with a culture that fosters creativity. The event will feature an exhibition and sale of works by over 40 potters, as well as flower and pottery workshops and installations that bring a touch of local flavor to the area.

More than 40 potters will gather at the main venue, the COURT on the 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, including from Kasama: Sakai Atsushiyuki, Nukaga Akio, Kozutsumi Akiko, Nemoto Koichi, Kondo Aya, Keicondo, Funakushi Atsushi, Kuwahara Noriko, Kuwahara Tetsuo, Suzuki Mishio, Numano Hideaki, Yamazaki Saori, Abe Shintaro, Kobayashi Yamato, Nishimura Mineko, Sasaki Tsuneko, Sugiyama Yoji, Participants include Toyo Kobayashi, Yuzuru Harada, Nao Harada, Ken Shoji, and from Mashiko, Noriko Ekino, Yasuhiro Kondo, Moe Kawasaki, Takato Okada, Shikamaru Takeshita, Satoshi Enokida, Taryo Sugaya, Ryuichi Haga, Aya Yamanobe, Haradokai, 74 Kobo, Chiaki Shoji, Yasuhiro Sasaki, Yoshihisa Okamoto, Ayako Wakana, Natsu Nishiyama, Yuichi Kobayashi, Taiga Isobe, Awo, Yoshiko Hirose, Hitoshi Kosugi, and Yuta Uchida. Furthermore, during the event, popular flower stylists such as Forager, The Little Shop of Flowers, and Uvre will hold "Flower and Vessel Workshops" where they will create works using original vases custom-made by potters from Kasama and Mashiko. Satellite shops will also host workshops and installations. From February 24th to March 9th, TODAY'S SPECIAL Jiyugaoka, Shibuya, and Kyoto stores will be hosting "ON THE TABLE vol.6: Tableware from Kasamashiko Kilns." The Jiyugaoka store will feature tableware from Narii Kiln in Mashiko, the Shibuya store will feature Tsukamoto Kiln, and the Kyoto store will feature tableware from Mukaiyama Kiln in Kasama. From February 11th to 19th, Utsuwa Kaede in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, and from February 15th to 20th, Shizen in Jingumae, Tokyo, will be showcasing the work of 11 artists with studios in Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures. This will give visitors a glimpse into the unique work that has been nurtured in such fertile soil. From February 18th to 26th, Kagure Omotesando, which offers a selection of clothing made from natural materials, tableware by artists, and food, will be showcasing rare antique furniture and miscellaneous goods from Nihei Antique Furniture Store in Mashiko.

In addition, from February 16th to 22nd, fennica STUDIO on the 5th floor of BEAMS JAPAN in Shinjuku, Tokyo will be selling tableware from Mashiko's Taisei Kiln, as well as tableware by the 7th generation Otsuka Seiichi, Hamada Kiln, and Hamada Tomoo. From February 16th to 26th, Playmountain in Sendagaya, Tokyo will be holding an exhibition by Mashiko-based woodworker Takayama Hideki.
