Giorgio Armani Prive, by Giorgio Armani, held its Spring/Summer 2017 Haute Couture show in the Palais de Chaillot Ballroom. Orange was presented as a new alternative to black. Nuanced tones like saffron, mandarin, and coral were used, along with classic black dresses. While cutting-edge pieces like balloon skirts featuring pleated fabrics and horsehair shawls, showcasing Armani's signature sculptural beauty, remained, the collection remained focused on minimalist silhouettes to highlight the finest materials. While the collection's ikat-style jacquard fabrics, decorative cord details, and sari-inspired shawls evoked a distinctly Oriental feel, feminine and romantic pieces like bare-shoulder lace long dresses and draped dresses with arabesque motifs were also eye-catching. However, there weren't many dresses, and the majority of the pieces were tops and bottoms that could be combined with each other or freely coordinated with previous collections. This was also a collection that embodied Giorgio Armani Privé's customer-first concept.
