Italian kitchenware brand Bugatti Italia has begun sales in Japan. The brand's products are handled by Yamamoto Denki, the brand's official distributor in Japan. The lineup includes the DIVA Espresso Machine (red, ¥129,800 / chrome, ¥139,800), which uses high-pressure steam to create cappuccinos and lattes, as well as cutlery (¥1,000-¥2,000) including forks and spoons that can be worn with both formal and casual outfits. Coming next January will be the VITA Citrus Juicer (expected to be around ¥20,000), which makes easy orange and lemon juice, and the VOLO Toaster (expected to be around ¥30,000), which offers six toasting options.
A directly managed shop has opened in Yebisu Garden Place, displaying products available in Japan and allowing visitors to actually try out the espresso machine. A pop-up shop is also running at Valveat 81 in Aoyama, Tokyo, for a limited time until December 29th.
Bugatti was founded in 1923 by a family of artists in the Brescia region of Italy. The company began by manufacturing nickel silver and silver-plated brass cutlery, and in 1928 invented a brass alloy known as the "Bugattially." Currently, the company designs and produces cutlery, kitchen and tableware, kitchen appliances, and more.
