
KEITA MARUYAMA will be holding a pop-up event titled "Ginza Mitsukoshi Maruyama Keita's Lucky Charms Market" at the Ginza Mitsukoshi Main Building from December 29, 2021 to January 11, 2022.
This event will feature New Year's decorations, lucky charms, one-of-a-kind gowns, and collaboration items with "Chiyonofuji," which was announced in December 2021, all created specifically for the pop-up event. In addition, there will be a wide selection of pottery and miscellaneous goods selected by designer Maruyama Keita. This pop-up event will feature 10 one-of-a-kind special gowns. We will also have a full lineup of accessories perfect for the New Year, including auspicious ornaments, notebooks, and hand-embroidered stoles. In addition, the pottery and miscellaneous goods selected by designer Keita Maruyama will feature items from ceramic artists Hikaru Masuda, Naoko Matsuura, and Tetsuya Hirota, as well as items from Imari Nabeshima ware manufacturer Hatamatsutouen and interior goods select shop Swimsuit Department. Items from the Keita Maruyama x Chiyonofuji collaboration, announced in December 2021, will also be available for order.

Founded by fashion designer Keita Maruyama. Maruyama Keita was born in Harajuku, Tokyo in 1965. After graduating from Bunka Fashion College in 1987, he joined Quatre Saisons, a BIGI Group company, and worked as a planning designer for Atsuki Onishi. In 1990, he went independent and, as a freelance designer, focused on the costumes he had been working on since his student days, garnering attention for his work designing stage costumes for DREAMS COME TRUE and many other musicians and celebrities, as well as for TV and commercials. At the same time as launching his brand, he debuted at the 1994-1995 Fall/Winter Tokyo Collection under the name "KEITA MARUYAMA TOKYO PARIS," presenting both men's and women's lines. In 1996, he won the Newcomer Award and the Shiseido Encouragement Award at the 14th Mainichi Fashion Awards, and opened a flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo. In 1997, he presented his women's collection at the 1998 Spring/Summer Paris Collection. In 2012, he designed uniforms for Japan Airlines' flight attendants and ground staff, marking the brand's 20th anniversary in 2014. In recent years, he has not only continued his activities under the name KEITA MARUYAMA, but has also expanded beyond the boundaries of fashion, from fast fashion to uniforms and brand production, and is actively expanding his activities into areas such as food and housing.
