The Art Aquarium returns to Ginza in the summer, bringing coolness and brilliance. The Art Aquarium Museum Ginza is holding a special event, "Summer Art Aquarium 2025," until September 29, 2025. Now in its fourth summer, the museum has evolved into a unique "immersive entertainment art" that weaves together light, sound, and scent.

The highlight of this year's exhibition is the new "Goldfish Rock Garden," a collaboration with world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Inspired by the aesthetic of a Japanese garden, composed solely of rocks and stones, this garden has been reimagined using the aquariums and goldfish unique to ART AQUARIUM. A spiral installation combining bamboo and acrylic adds fluid color to the space, resonating with the graceful movements of the goldfish. The beauty of nature and architecture come together to create a unique, immersive experience.

In addition, three new areas will be unveiled for the first time. In "Goldfish Path," a series of aquarium columns line up like a torii gate, creating a fantastical scene that transports you to another world. The "Goldfish Spring" that appears ahead is a fountain illuminated by light, where you can enjoy a fantastical space woven by gracefully swimming goldfish. The "NEO Oiran," an evolution of the large-scale "Oiran" artwork that symbolizes the Art Aquarium, emits a pop and gorgeous glow by combining it with neon art, breathing a fresh air into the traditional Art Aquarium. Other exhibits include a collection of works based on Japanese cultural motifs such as temari balls, shoji screens, and the corridors of temple and shrine architecture, and the fantastical scenery of swimming goldfish offers a modern reinterpretation of traditional Japanese beauty. ART AQUARIUM, which has attracted a total of over 12.3 million visitors, continues to present new possibilities for "goldfish appreciation" this summer.
