
Ivan Valentin, a rare chocolate that is only available to the general public during the Valentine's season, will be released at 14 locations nationwide starting January 20th.
Ivan Valentin is a private chocolate brand favored by international celebrities, providing chocolates to very select venues and individuals, such as five-star hotels. It has also been loved by Hollywood stars such as Michael Jackson, Sharon Stone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. In Japan, it was sold at a single store in Tokyo during the Valentine's season in 2010. Since then, it has been sold to the general public only during this Valentine's season.
The product lineup includes four types: 2-piece set (¥1,480 including tax), 6-piece set (¥3,703 including tax), 12-piece set (¥6,686 including tax), and 24-piece set (¥12,754 including tax). There are five types available, including a limited edition package of 4 pieces (¥2,571 including tax) that offers new flavors that are popular every year. Flavors include "DARK," which features a rich flavor created by blending several types of cacao, and "CAPPUCCINO," which captures the true aroma of cappuccino in each coffee bean, as well as new flavors for 2016, "ORANGE" and "MANDARIN." The products will be available at Matsuzakaya Nagoya and JR Nagoya Takashimaya from January 20th to February 14th, at Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store from January 23rd to February 14th, at Sogo Yokohama, Hankyu Umeda Main Store and Daimaru Kobe from January 27th to February 14th, at Daimaru Tokyo from January 28th to February 14th, at Barneys New York Ginza from January 29th to February 14th, at Yokohama Takashimaya from January 30th to February 14th, at Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. from February 1st to 14th, at Nagoya Mitsukoshi Sakae Store from February 2nd to 14th, at Daimaru Sapporo from February 3rd to 14th, at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store from February 3rd to 15th, and at Tokyu Department Store Shibuya Station and Toyoko Store from February 4th to 14th.
